Huge Thank you to Clint Woody and his sweet sons! They also gave 100% from start to finish! They helped Home Depot with the landscaping, helped UT with the garden construction, then stayed with us intil we were all packed up! Amazing! I owe those men some bags of epsom salts!

Fun, Sweaty, Dirty, God Filled Day!

 

I was born 19730222 in Knoxville Tennessee.

I served 4 years Navy JROTC at Central high school, graduating in 1991 from Central.

I reported to boot camp at mcrd parris island, SC on 27 Oct 1991.

After I attended MCT and ITB at school of infantry Camp Geiger, NC becoming an 0311 infantry rifleman.

My first unit was Bravo Company 1st battalion 6th Marines from 92 to 1995. My Company was small zodiac boat company, raiders.
I left active duty 20 sept 1995.

Reported into Lima Company 3rd battalion 24th Marines, Johnson City, Tennessee infantry reserve company, from 1995 to October 2001 after 911. While reserves i did JTF missions temporary active duty with DEA and other agencies, and i had the privilege of being a fire team leader and assistant squad leader for the USMCs competition infantry squad, super squad, the competition for best squad in usmc and our squad won 1st place in 1997.
Sergeant of the year in 1998.

After 911 in October 2001 i gave up my Carpentry handyman business and reenlisted active duty and stayed active duty till i retired in 2017.

2001 i was assigned to recruiting duty at PCS Morristown Tennessee from 2002 to 2005, 39 months.

In march 2005 i was assigned to India Company 3rd battalion 6th Marines as a Sergeant 0311.
I did 3 combat deployments from 2005 to 2008 to Iraq. August 2005 my first experience in combat we conducted operations Iron Fist and Steel Curtain on the iraq syria border near All Quaim Iraq and several other Operations.
In Dec 2008 i reported into inspector instructor duty at Marine Forces Reserves at MarForRes new Orleans Louisiana as the active duty Operations Chief.
While there i wrote the current funeral honors order and established the funeral honors teams and conducted many funerals as well as CACOs.

In May 2013 i reported into 3rd battalion 8th Marines at camp lejuene NC as an 0369 infantry platoon sergeant and unit leader.
Duties while there were infantry platoon sergeant, motor mentorship program president, ground safety officer, assistant family readiness officer, and substance abuse control officer, SACO.
I also deployed 2014 and 2015 as the senior watch officer , SWO, with 24 Marine Expeditionary Unit on board the USS Iwo Jima, LHD 7.

I retired from the United States Marine Corps on 30 November 2017 with over 26 years total service, over 20 active duty and 6 years reserve. Over all i deployed 12 deployments and 3 combat deployments, plus several short deployments over the years.

I am currently fully retired Marine, 100 percent total perm VA disability and a single stay at home Dad raising my son John,16, and my daughter Natalie, 13.

In March 2024 i restarted my Carpentry handyman business, Service Unlimited Home Improvements back up that i had in the 90s before giving it up to go to war after 911. My business is hard now because my hours are limited because i have to be with my two wonderful children, which is why i sacrificed the chance of having a great civilian government job making good money, however no regrets, my kids are my best career choice ever!!!
